Batteries

Might have to upgrade to another battery!
Admitedly, this isn't my picture, but the problem with today's posting is that I took several pics over the weekend, but the camera decided to run through the batteries like crazy.

While I may enjoy the $1 sale on Rayovac batteries that Ingles grocery store has several times a year, I think my camera deserved batteries with more oomph! One set of batteries in 2 days is just ridiculous, considering I only took about 30 pictures between the two days!

LEGO adventures

Yesterday the family went to a LEGO building event at Discovery Mills Mall. While we don't normally approve of "SpongeBob Square Pants" the prospects of putting together a giant LEGO figure was too hard to pass up.

Here's the kids posed next to the mini Bob model, and the kids forming the large blocks for the larger model. (Just behind the kids you can see the beginnings of the larger Bob, the brown portion is his pants & shoes and the red "I"ish shape is the tie.

The following pic was swiped from a friend who visited the LEGO event today, showing just how far the kids have gotten on making the (eventually) 8 foot tall SpongeBob.

There Can Be Only One

thecoloringbarn.com
In the beginning there can be only one.

This blog is an attempt for me to get off my fanny and be the picture-taking mom that I've always wanted to be. I recently heard of a book title something like "Smell the Roses and Get Blogging" or something like that, and it reminded me of the picture projects that so many people do. You know the projects, where people take one picture a day and post something about it.

I'm not going to say I'll post a picture a day, frankly I'm not that great with the camera to warrant THAT many pictures (and I still have a hard time getting the pics off the camera and onto my Mac, but that's another story). I will attempt, though to capture some of the fun throughout my day (and my kid's day) and keep a record for posterity's sake.

This is my story.
